Custom Made Artificial Eyes

The artificial eye starts with an impression of the eye socket. Afterwards the impression is molded and here is where the artist matches the iris color, veins and sclera colors. The size of the  other eye pupil is determined in mid level illumination and matched into the new one. The anaplastologist will carefully insert your new eye and evaluate for comfort and perform any necessary modifications that you may need.

The Process of Making An Artificial eye

Creating a custom-made prosthetic eye is a meticulous process that begins with the patient's first visit, where an impression is taken. This is followed by crafting a cast mold of the eye. Next, the anaplastologist inserts a custom-hand painted disc closely matches the color of the other eye. Finally, veins and arteries are added to ensure the prosthetic looks almost identical, achieving a natural appearance blends seamlessly.

The nearly completed artificial eye is sized and its edges polished to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer. This intricate process demands the expertise of a skilled Anaplastologist, who works diligently to that patients feel at ease with their new eye.

It is important to give the artificial eye luster to smooth the eye interaction with tears and the natural producing salts of the human tears. The polishing is done prior to inserting the eye. This process should be routinely done to ensure a comfortable fit because it eliminates the deposits that forms over time.

The Anaplastologist insert the eye for the first time on the patients socket and gives the patient a TLC demonstration of if insertion, removal and the necessary care for successful wearing.
